How does a vertical cutter work
During the growth of the lawn, the mat layer formed by the dead roots, stems and leaves is piled up on the lawn.
Fertilizers that hinder the soil from absorbing water and air, resulting in barren soil and the development of shallow roots in the lawn, leading to drought and winter death in the lawn. At the same time, the thick blanket layer is also a suitable environment for insects and grass diseases. The vertical cutter can effectively eliminate the dead grass layer, improve the air permeability of the topsoil, promote the growth of the lawn, and improve the lawn landscape effect.
First,Various preparations before use
(一) Machine inspection before use
For your safety, and in order to maximize the service life of the vertical cutter, it is important to take time to check before starting the gasoline engine. Before starting the gasoline engine, make sure that any problems you find are resolved.
- First check the appearance, whether all nuts, bolts and screws are tight.
- Check the appearance and bottom of the gasoline engine to see if there is oil leakage.
- Wipe off excessive stolen goods residue, especially the stolen goods around the muffler and recoil starter.
- Then check the oil in the crankcase of the engine. The engine oil is a four-stroke gasoline engine oil. When checking the gasoline engine oil, turn off the gasoline engine and keep it on a level surface.
- Check the gasoline in the fuel tank, whether the gasoline level in the fuel tank is too low, and it is strictly forbidden to smoke when refueling.
- Check the air filter element. Disassemble the air filter housing to check the air filter, clean or replace the dirty air filter element.
- Check whether the spark plug cap is pressed tightly.
(二) Preparation before use
- Cut the lawn to its normal height. It is strictly forbidden to adjust the working height while working.
- Before using the vertical cutter to work, keep the lawn at a certain humidity. A humid environment can reduce grass damage, but the lawn should not be too humid. Too much humidity may cause slipping and unsafe factors.
- Check the lawn to be operated before starting, remove stones, metal wires, ropes and other dangerous objects, and mark the obstacles on the lawn, such as sprinklers, tree stumps, valves, cool clothes line stakes, etc. Wait.
Two, the matters needing attention when using
- Do not perform maintenance during operation.
- Do not use for non-turf ground operations.
- Do not use on slopes over 15°.
- Do not put your hands and feet close to moving or rotating parts.
- Do not run the engine in an unventilated place.
- Do not run the engine during maintenance. The spark plug must be disconnected before any maintenance.
Three. Maintenance and repair of vertical cutter
- Change the oil every 50 hours of operation. Regularly check the oil level of the oil, and check every 5 hours of operation to ensure that the oil is within the range specified by the oil dipstick. Replace the oil when the gasoline engine is still hot and drain the oil, so that the oil can be discharged quickly and completely.
- Every 5 hours of work, the air filter element of the vertical cutter should be cleaned up. If the sponge net of the filter element is oily or dirty, it must be cleaned with detergent and dried before installation.
Four, matters needing attention in the use of the grooming machine
- When the plastic shield is damaged, it should be replaced immediately to prevent the fragments of grass and debris flying out during work from injuring people and animals.
- Gasoline engines must not be operated in a closed environment to prevent carbon monoxide poisoning.
- When the gasoline engine is running, it is not allowed to fill the fuel tank, and the refueling work can only be carried out after two minutes of shutdown.
- If you smell gasoline or find other explosion hazards, do not start the gasoline engine.
- When there is no muffler, do not start the gasoline engine. The muffler should be checked regularly, and if it is defective, replace it.
- When weeds, leaves or other combustibles are attached to the muffler, do not start the gasoline engine to prevent fire.
- Do not start the gasoline engine when the air filter or the air filter housing is removed.
- When the gasoline engine is running, keep your hands and feet away from its rotating parts.
- Never remove the fuel tank cap when the gasoline engine is running.
- Never operate the gasoline engine when gasoline overflows. The gasoline engine should be moved away from the oil spill to avoid any sparks before the gasoline evaporates.
- Do not run the gasoline engine at excessive speed, as this will cause damage to the gasoline engine.
- Be sure to keep the cylinder heat sink and governor parts clean and free of weeds and other debris, which may affect the speed of the gasoline engine.
- The exposed parts of the human body shall not touch the high-temperature muffler, cylinder block and heat sink to avoid scalding.
- In order to prevent accidental starting, the spark plug or high-voltage ignition wire should be removed when repairing the gasoline engine or other accessories machinery.
- When starting the gasoline engine, first turn the sheave slowly until you feel resistance, and then pull the sheave quickly and hard to avoid rebound and hurt your arm.
- Be sure to use fresh gasoline. Stale gasoline will form glue in the carburetor and cause leakage.
